<p>The fence post or stake is esp. suitable for use with electrified fencing. It is designed to combine ease of erection, dismantling and re-erection on another site, with secure retention of enclosed farm livestock or other animals. It comprises a sheath socket (2) for sinking into the ground (1), a plastic tube (3) for insertion into the socket, a stiffener bar (4), inserted into the tube, and finally an outwardly conical sleeve (6). This is set in place on the plastic tube, and can be pressed into the socket, for firm seating there together with the tube. The socket may be pointed at the bottom end, and may be made of plastics, pref. with threading on the outside. Its internal dia. may permit all-round limited movement of the bottom end of the plastic tube, held at the top of the socket by the sleeve.</p> |
