<p>The telescopic support holds a flap e.g. a coach luggage boot door, in an open position. The support consists of an outer tube (2) with a pivot bearing (7) to link with the luggage boot panel, and an inner tube with an upper flange to link to the luggage boot door. Each tube has an elongated opening (10, 9) close to the ends which slide into each other. The outer tube opening (9) is shorter than that of the inner tube opening (10) to accommodate a locking element (13) tensioned by a hair pin spring (12). The locking element is rectangular to correspond with the elongated opening in the outer tube. The locking element has a small flange (14) corresponding to the difference in the opening lengths (9, 10). The opposite end of the locking element has a larger flange (15).</p> |
