<p>A digital counter converts measured data into desired units in real time, in partic. periodic time into frequency. The data conversion is performed by a processor unit such as those used in commercial pocket calculators. It is programmed by a logic circuit for the necessary processing steps. Both the program instructions and the measurement values are serially prepared and fed into the processor unit. The measurement data may be fed in coded digital form and the conversion program may be externally time-controlled.</p> |
