<p>A metered quantity of water is passed through a vessel containing a charge to be diluted or dissolved, after a hollow extension has been cut off and a thin covering sheet perforated. In a first position (A) the vessel is accommodated and the extension cut off, the vessel being delivered via a spout. A second position dispenses the drink and has a seat for a glass, and an assembly is lowered so as to perforate the vessel and insert the diluting liquid supply pipe. A transporter grip (3A, 5a) in two halves which can be swung apart transfers the vessel between the positions when closed forms an annular seat supporting the vessel. A cutter unit has a blade parting off the lower end of the extension, and an upper protrusion holding the vessel in the seat formed by the grip before the parting operation.</p> |
