1534757 Electrostatic air-conditioning ELEUIT GES FUR LUFT and KLIMAVERBESSERUNG mbH 23 Feb 1976 [22 Feb 1975] 07099/76 Heading H1X A room or other enclosure is air-conditioned by generating therein a pulsed electrostatic field, the pulse frequency being in the range 0À1 to 20 Hz, and the rising edge e and falling edge f of each pulse being of different duration. Preferably the pulses have a frequency of 10 Hz, a shorter duration edge of less than 100 Ásec., e.g. 10 Ásec., and a longer duration edge of more than 100 Ásec., e.g. 50 msec., the difference between the edges being a factor of at least 10, preferably 500. The pulses may be superimposed on a constant electrostatic field of 50 to 500 volts/m., the peak pulse field being, e.g. 5 volts/m. Either the rising edge or falling edge of the pulse may be the longer. |
