<p>The tool for surface grinding hard rock and similar materials where several, radially arranged, diamond-impregnated grinding segments execute an additional swivel motion. The radial shafts of the grinding segment holders are supported so that they are freely movable in height. These shafts are so controlled by means of their support rollers through a curved track consisting of several arc sections that their grinding faces are passed in an extremely flat arc over the workpiece surface. The spacing of the support rollers of the segment holders multiple of the grinding segment width to achieve an even more precise guidance of the grinding segments.</p> |
