The busying circuit, for the incoming signalling in a PCM TDM telephone network, has a constant current source in its hold circuit to produce the hold current. The supply voltage depends on the impedance of the incoming c-wire and its magnitude is so low that it is only sufficient to produce the required holding current. A delay circuit is connected between the output of the evaluator and the rest input and the outgoing control line and delays the change in condition of the outgoing control signal.
