<p>The feed gear is for a workpiece carrier which is displaceable in relation to a fixed spindle by means of a shifting nut rotated by an integral gear drive. The spindle is placed in rotation via a correcting gear, adjustably derived from the feed. The correcting gear incorporates a toothed rod connected to the workpiece carrier, the spindle being activated by the rod via a pinion with following change speed gear. The gear finds application in groove grinding machines for the preparation of spiral grooves in pre-machined workpieces, the latter being rotated via a drive and an intermediary change speed gear.</p> |
