<p>A pipe coupling for bore pipes, esp. those according to DIN 4928 in which the spigot and socket ends of the separate lengths of pipe to be connected, have radial bores aligned to each other. A clamping sleeve can be inserted in the radial bores and there is a tightening detail to be forced into the sleeve to expand it. The sleeve has slots and the expander is formed by a conical bolt. The outer circumference of the clamping sleeve widens out symmetrically and conically both towards the inside of the pipes and towards their outside. The radial bores of the lengths of tube are tapered to suit the sleeve, and the conical bolt has at its end outside the pipe, a screwed hole. All the separate details can be dismantled easily and used over again.</p> |
