Light alloy body shell for vehicle - has sectional support frame with vertical and horizontal ribs welded into sectional panels

The body shell of the vehicle is supported on a light alloy frame assembled from vertical and horizontal ribs welded together into sectional panels. The upper edges of the panels are edged with a special moulding into which is clipped a similar moulding at the edges of the roof section. The two moulding are clipped together by snap fittings and springs, and by virtue of their mating faces. The whole shell can be assembled in panel sections, so that a simple assembly is possible, with any damaged section easily replaced. The system is suitable for busses and large commercial vehicles.
