<p>Cutting device for web issuing from ticket or receipt printing mechanism comprises independent unit capable of being driven by data signals in registration with the printed matter. The unit has a pivotal knife (19a) actuated by an electromagnet (6). A further electromagnet (38) is actuable to introduce a stop (21) into the path of the knife. This limits the angle of movement of the knife and effects a partial cut of the web. The knife is in the form of a double-ended lever, one end defining the knife itself, the other end being connected to the magnets.</p> |
