<p>Both the front and rear wheels of the fork lift truck are steerable, with the radii of curvature of all the wheels lying outside the vehicle (M). This enables the operator to swivel the vehicle in a confined space without swinging or dragging into the walls. The steering is suitable for any vehicle which has working attachments, such as lifting forks, which extend from the vehicle. The steering axis (M) is chosen to be near the working end of the vehicle so that the vehicle can swing about this point. The operator merely positions the front of the vehicle near an obstacle and swings the vehicle round this point.</p> |
