The side walls of a trough conveyer are of an undulating shape along their longitudinal direction wherein the recesses 3 formed by the undulation which are open towards the conveying side of the conveyer belt are at least partially filled with an elastic material 4 (rubber or elastic plastics material). The walls have warp and weft metallic or plastics reinforcements 10 and are mounted on a base 9 for attachment to a conveyer belt 9 at an angle normal or inclined thereto. The elastic material 4 forms a substantially flat surface when passing over an end roller, whereby to facilitate cleaning of the conveyer belt. |
