1457192 Waterproof mattress covers JGRIDEL 23Oct 197 [24 Oct 1973] 45830/74 Headings A4M and A4S A protective mattress cover comprises a pad 6 of water repellent synthetic fibres secured to sheets 4, 5 of net or open-work mesh fabric by lines of stitching 7 spaced apart by at least 2 cm., the lower sheet 4 being waterproofed after the three layers have been stitched together. A pvc sheet may be used for waterproofing. The ends of the cover may be folded back upon themselves such that a pocket in which absorbent material (17), Fig. 7 (not shown) may be disposed. The fibres may be polyamide polyester or acrylic and may be hollow. The stitches may be polyamide or polyester. Sheets 4 and 5 may also be acrylic or polyester. The pad may be a felt of water repellant fibres. |
