Air conditioning system fitted outside building - uses framework of tubular columns and transoms as circulation system

An air conditioning system fitted outside a building has a framework of tubular columns fixed against a building wall. The columns have horizontal transoms connected into them at intervals corresponding to the various floor levels. Each column or transom has a finned pipe (11') passing centrally through it and some outer tubular members have louvres at calculated intervals. The system communicates with the interior of the building directly by means of wall plates or through pipes to the ceilings. The heating fluid passes through the finned pipes and air flows through, or out of, the outer tubular members, both systems forming circuits.
