PACKAGE AND PACKAGING METHOD FOR AIR TREATMENT COMPOSITION

A process for making an air-conditioning package contg. a vaporisable solid compsn. comprises forming a sealed plastic shell made up of two thermoformed parts which are sealed together to form a reservoir. One of the parts has a distributing face made up of perforations; when its used for distributing vapour, the face is vertical and when filling, the face is horizontal. The container is then filled via the face with the molten air-treatment compsn. to a level below and spaced from the distributing face. The molten composition is allowed to solidify and the face is then covered to seal in the vapour. When ready for use, the cover seal is removed. Used for purifying the air, the package has the advantage of being cheap and also of having a good appearance. Previous containers have tended to be expensive costing more than the filling material.
