The system is for the removal of labels and neck foils from empty bottles. It uses a pressurised water washing apparatus and a sectioned wheel and feed system. It has a series of spray bells (24) positioned above the cell of the sectioned cell wheel (32) and mounted on a rotating plate (23). The inner walls of the spray bells (24) have annular jets (S1, S2) and a lifting cylinder (29) is situated beneath the sectioned wheel (32) which lifts the empty bottles (1) in turn. It pushes them up into the spray bells (24) in a synchronised manner so that they may be forcibly washed.
