Clothes drying in drum-type machine with condensers - requires low intake of cooling air for condensers compared with drying air

Method for drying clothes in a drum-type washing and/or drying machine with an air escape system and condensers is carried out by conducting the drying air by means of a fan through the inner drum and discharging it after it has become moisture-laden. The drying air is sucked out of the machine interior above the tub and drawn off by a suction fan via a suction pipe in the outlet system. Cooling air for condensers consists of fresh air which is drawn in via the machine interior beneath the tub, via a cooling air pipe into the suction pipe and blown out together with the drying air. The cross-seections of the suction pipe and cooling air pipe are correlated with each other in such a way that a relatively smaller quantity of cooling air is drawn in compared with the drying air.
