The output signal from an exhaust gas oxygen sensor is fed to a transistorised bridge switch. The bridging diagonal is fed to an operations amplifier. The amplifier output is connected to the voltage supply via a resistance and joined to a regulator amplifier with a miller integrator. The exhaust gas oxygen sensor is tightly surrounded by a heater spiral in series with a relay switch and the vehicle battery. The relay switch closes when the oxygen sensor signals give a l ow potential and opens when a high potentials is emitted. The integrator condenser serves as a time factor which is charged at a frequency dependant upon engine revolution speed.
