1397842 Loading material into containers SOC D'EQUIPEMENTS MANUTENTIONS ET TRANSPORTS 11 Sept 1972 [10 May 1972] 42068/72 Heading B8E A device for loading material, e.g. refuse int‹ a container, e.g. a dust cart 1, comprises a hollow shaft 5 carrying teeth 4 and being mounted for rotation on an eccentric portion 6 of a crankshaft having radial arms 7 and stub shafts 8, means for rotating the crank-shaft about an axis 9 so that the hollow shaft 5 travels in a circular path 11, and means for guiding the hollow shaft 5 so that the teeth follow a closed path 13. The ends of the hollow shaft 5 are integral with slideways 14 which engage pivotal sliding blocks 15 to guide the shaft 5. The stub shafts 8 are integral with segments 18 which are rotated by hydraulic double acting rams 23, 24 which are staggered relative to each other and controlled by distributers 26 operated by portions 25, 27 of the segments to ensure continuous rotation of the crank-shaft. As shown, the teeth sweep refuse from a hopper 3 into the main body of the dust cart, and interdigitate with the teeth of a fixed rake 30 which crushes and strips refuse from the teeth 4. |
