<p>The road surface marker is in the form of a stud in one piece, with a head (1) and shaft (2). The lower end is threaded. The internal diameter of the shaft (2) part diminishes progressively so as to form a truncated cone shape (3). The bottom end of the shaft (2) has slits in (4). The stud is anchored to the road way, by inserting into the shaft a screw (5) which has a slightly larger diameter than the small base (6) of the truncated cone. The top of the stud has a square head by which the stud be firmly screwed in using a spanner. When the screw has been fitted into the stud, a cover (9) is placed in a shoulder (8) to hide the end of the screw.</p> |
