The wing frame bar is for use in an up-and-over door, and is in the form of a sheet metal strip, bent into a hollow section with superimposed and firmly interconnected lateral edges forming a joining stem for the wing frame filling. The sheet (4) is made of steel with or without surface protection. This is bent round to form the hollow section in such a way that one lateral edge (10) clamps the other (11). The hollow space is completely filled with hard foamed material (5). The outermost lateral edges (11, 12) of the sheet are beaded, and they may be cemented together. With increased bar (1) length calling for enhanced stiffening, more compacted hard foam may be selected.
