<p>Overload protection system for hoist has a switch stopping the winch drive, actuated by a fall of the supporting rope attached to a fixed point, if necessary via a rocker beam. The rope (5) or the free arm (3b) of the beam (3) acts via a hydraulic reduction linkage (7) on a conventional pressure switch (8), whose operating pressure is set by an adjusting spring. The linkage can comprise a liquid cushion (9) working in conjunction with two diaphragms. The larger one (10) works with the rope, and the smaller one with the switch. The system is highly accurate, with a wide range of adjustment, and largely unaffected by weather or temp. conditions.</p> |
