Plastics sheath for Bowden cable - has moulded enlarged ends with grooves to allow it to be fitted directly to supporting panel

The bowden cable assembly consists of a cable (6) enclosed in a moulded plastic sheath (1). The edn of the sheath is enlarged to form a collar (2) which is separated from the conical end (3) by a circumferential groove (4). A number of axial grooves (5) run from the circumferential groove (4) across the conical end (3). The coned end (3) and groove (4) allow the sheath (1) to be pushed into a hole in a supporting panel. The conical surface is compressed until the groove (4) fits in the hole and keeps the sheat in position. The coned end (3) and collar (2) may be formed as a separate boss screwed into the end of the sheath (1).
