Fixing of ceiling panel to C-section support beam - using T:bolt in beam slot and bracket wedged in position by serrated cotter pin

The C section beam (2) has a longitudinal slot in its lower flange. A t-bolt (11) with a rectangular head is pushed throught the slot and then rotated through 90 deg. so that the longer sides of the head span the slot in the beam (2). The bracket (18) is provided with a hole which fits over the shank (9) of the bolt (11). The bracket (18) is then secured by a cotter (17) which is pushed through a slot (15) in the shank (9). The cotter (17) has a serrated edge (20) which prevents it slipping out of the hole (15).
