<p>The ball cord lock is designed for attachment to one end of a roller curtain rod which is mounted without centrifugal coupling and roll-up spring. It has a cord pulley (1) with an axially protruding pivot (2) for this, with a continuous ball cord (3) round the pulley for rolling up or unrolling. There is a lock housing (5), made up from two halves (5a, 5b) forming a bearing for the cord and enclosing it. On the housing there is a retainer (6) for attachment to a window, and the housing incorporates a U-shaped cord lock to pick-up one of the cord lengths and prevent the pulley from rotating. The U-shaped component's open part is directed towards the other cord length, while its depth increases vertically from the open part towards the closed part, with the edge faces nearest to the pulley forming a sliding plane for the balls (4) on the cord.</p> |
