1527620 Detonating fuse NITRO NOBEL AB 15 Dec 1975 [20 Dec 1974] 51212/75 Heading F3A A detonating fuse comprises a plastics tube containing an explosive gas or an explosive gas mixture, the combustion of which gas is developed into a detonation by roughening the walls of the tube with a powder crimping, or by rifling. The gas consists of hydrazine, a mixture of oxygen and hydrogen, or acetylene with or without oxygen, or a mixture of air and hydrogen, or a mixture of methane and oxygen, or a mixture of carbon monoxide and oxygen. The ends of the tube may be open or closed and one end of the tube may be crimped into the end of an igniter. The gas may be ignited by a flame, by a spark or by an explosive initiator. |
