<p>1430605 Apparatus for tissue cell culture ABBOTT LABORATORIES 27 July 1973 [31 July 1972] 35878/73 Heading C6F Apparatus for growing tissue cells comprises a vessel 9 containing horizontal plates 13, there being gaps e.g. 11 between the ends of the plates and the end-walls of the vessel, which end-walls incorporate inlet and outlet conduits 15 and 17. The vessel may be rectangular and the plates may be formed from a long strip of material which follows a serpentine path about supports adjacent the side walls of said vessel, see Fig. 4. Such supports may comprise vertical rods placed adjacent the corners of the vessel with a framework of bars, rods, pegs, threads, wires, lines or cords extending between. The plates may be of glass or a polycarbonate plastic.</p> |
