The assembly gives the appearance from a distance, of at least a part of the exterior surface of a curved surface. The part of the assembly corresponding to the part of the surface consists of facets (1) or substantially the profile of curvature as the surface. These facets (1) are positioned close to each other. They are fixed to a central support (2) situated inside the assembly. The means (3) of fixing the facets (1) to the central support (2) are removable. The central support (2) can be suspended from a spindle (3a) having an eye-hook (8). Thus the whole assembly can be suspended from a fixed point.
