<p>A UV lamp has a base which is irradiated by >=1 UV radiator. The base carries a pliable cover. When the UV radiator is arranged opposite the side of the base used by a person and is provided with means adapted to filter out any UVB- and UVC-radiation, as well as with a plastic base material that is permeable to UVA-radiation, then the cover comprises a UVA-permeable plastics in the form of a gas-, esp. air-, filled pocket or cushion. The cover may consists of 2 pieces of plastic film which are welded together, quilt-fashion, to enclose air pockets. The films may be polyethylene films. The device as claimed combines a construction giving a max. comfort to a user whilst minimising risk of sunburn form potentially harmful UVB- and UVC-radiation but allowing the user to acquire desired suntan by innocuous UVA-radiation.</p> |
