摘要 1480051 Control of D.C. motors LUCAS INDUSTRIES Ltd 11 June 1974 [30 June 1973] 31301/73 Heading H2J The motor control system described with reference to Figs. 1 to 4 of Specification 1,480,064 is provided with means to ensure that, if the accelerator or brake pedal is depressed at the same time as the brake or accelerator pedal is released, the current demand is reduced to zero for a predetermined time irrespective of the pedal positions and the demand is then gradually increased to the level set by the pedal in use. This ensures that the thyristors of the chopper and commutating circuit are fired in the correct sequence after the change from one mode of motor operation to the other. As shown in Fig. 6, the control unit 26 for the thyristors is connected via diodes 54, 54a to the accelerator and brake potentiometers 52, 52a, which are shunted by capacitors 55, 55a, contacts 38a, 44a opened when the respective pedals are depressed and contacts 56, 56a controlled via time delay circuits 57, 57a by devices 58, 58a operable by closure of contacts F3, B3 of the forward drive and brake contactor devices F, B of Fig. 5. If, during forward drive, the accelerator pedal is released and the brake pedal depressed, the following sequence of operations occurs: (1) Contacts 38a close to discharge capacitor 55 and reduce to zero the signal to unit 26. (2) When device F has been deenergized, contacts F3 open and contacts 56 close. (3) Contacts 44a open as contacts 38a close, but capacitor 55a is maintained discharged by the closed contacts 56a. (4) When device B is energized, contacts B3 close to cause contacts 56a to open after the time delay of circuit 57a, whereupon the capacitor 55a charges to allow the signal to unit 26 to rise exponentially to the setting of the brake potentiometer 52a. A reverse sequence of operations occurs when the brake pedal is released and the accelerator pedal depressed. Members 57, 58, 57a, 58a may be omitted, with contacts 56, 56a operated directly by devices F, B and the potentiometers, capacitors and contacts connected to three supply lines, Fig. 7 (not shown), whereby when for example one of the contacts 56, 38a opens, the capacitor 55 is negatively charged so that it must discharge to zero after the second contact opens, before it can charge to increase the signal to unit 26. In Fig. 5 changeover of switch 33 operates relays 34, 34a or 35, 35a to energize the forward or reverse drive devices F or R. In the case of forward drive, closure of contacts 34a allows energization of the device F through relay 36, 36a or device B through relay 42, 42a according to whether contacts 38 or 44 are closed by depression of the accelerator or brake pedal respectively, with contacts F2, B2 being opened to isolate the circuit of the pedal not depressed, although depression of the brake pedal when so isolated will operate the hydraulic braking system. If the depressed pedal is released, the device F or B is maintained energized through contacts 36b or 42b and contacts 41 controlled by a current sensor (18) in the motor circuit, Fig. 1 (not shown), the contacts 41 opening when the current falls below a predetermined value to allow the device F or B to be deenergized. Contacts 43 close when the vehicle speed exceeds a predetermined low value and ensure that if the accelerator and brake pedals are simultaneously depressed at speeds below this value, only the device F may be energized. Contacts 41 ensure that braking (when occurring) can continue after contacts 43 open down to speeds below the predetermined value. Contacts F2, B2 may be connected in series with devices B, F respectively to permit simultaneous energization of windings 36, 42, although only one device F, B can be energized as before.
