摘要 A sliding joint for supporting e.g. a bridge, consists of an upper plate (1) a lower plate (2) with a resilient block (3) between them surrounded by a ring (4) with a thin resilient plate (5) between the block and the upper plate permitting sliding to occur, with a resilient ring (8) between the outer ring and the block (3), located near the top of the block. The resilient ring (8) is in the form of a helically wound metal wire. In another design, a metal plate may be located between the thin resilient plate (5) and the resilient block (3).
