The wall for a multi-storey building, particularly for offices or housing, is made up of units each forming one side of a storey, with a window opening (3) the height of the storey and with a channel all round this opening for circulation of air. An air-conditioning unit can be mounted on the roof, to distribute air through horizontal tubes and vertical tubes interconnecting them, and with branches communicating with these window channels. The main thickness (5) of the concrete forms the outside layer, a thinner part forms the inside layer, and the space between a double glazed outer window (7) and a single glazed inside window (6) forms part of the channel. A layer of insulation (17) can be mounted on the inside face of the outside part of the concrete. Channels (24) above and below the window can incorporate fire barrier flaps.
