<p>The headlamp for vehicles has built in scree wiper. On the convex curved front screen (10) of the headlamp is fitted a correspondingly shaped wiper blade (12). The wiper blade (12) is fitted by a central shaft (14), which passes through the lamp screen (10) to an electric motor (16) fitted to the rear of the screen. The wiper blade (12) is turned in a continuous motion so that a circular area of the screen is kept continually clean. Owing to the small size of the electric motor and its central position in the lamp the beam of light is hardly affected. By locating the wiper motor in the screen, complicated lever arrangements requiring special assembly and space within the vehicle body are unnecessary.</p> |
