1479372 Bearings HOWALDTSWERKEDEUTSCHE WERFT AG HAMBURG UND KIEL 10 April 1975 [10 April 1974] 14773/75 Heading F2A A thrust bearing assembly for a shaft 3 having a thrust flange 4 comprises a bearing housing 1 which has part-spherically constructed external surfaces 2 and which is provided with integral fixing flanges 7 on at least two opposite external sides, said flanges extending parallel to the bearing axis. The assembly can therefore be either fixed by screws passing through holes 8 in the flanges 7 (Fig. 1), or mounted in a selfaligning manner (Fig. 2) with the aid of a further housing member 9 having internal spherical surfaces 10. The housing 1 may be one-piece or divided.
