1479523 Laminates T CASUTT 14 Feb 1975 [8 March 1974] 6464/75 Headings B5N and B5P [Also in Division B8] A packaging material for fragile articles, e.g. eggs, consists of a plurality of parallel corrugated bands 19 each having a strip-like covering band 39 fixed thereto; adjacent corrugated bands being joined together about folds, e.g. 32, 33 &c., at the tops of the corrugations whereby the packing material may be placed about articles to be packed by bending the material along the fold lines. As shown an egg carton is formed from material consisting of five bands 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 (the bands 7 and 11 together forming the top of the carton when folded about fold lines 33, see Fig. 7, not shown). The dimensions of the corrugations may be chosen so that the material (including corrugations) may lie flat when stacked prior to use.
