<p>1444119 Syringes BUNDER GLAS GmbH 5 Dec 1973 [18 Dec 1972] 56311/73 Heading A5R An injection syringe comprises a cylindrical plastics holder 1 which mounts a needle 9 in neck 1' protected by a plastics push-on cap 6, one end of the cap in use of the syringe having a circular groove 10 able to correspond with the outer end of a glass ampoule 2 to push it into the holder 1 for piercing of a diaphragm 2a with the needle 9, the other screw threaded end 6' of the cap then being connected to a plunger 12 for injection of liquid within the ampoule. A plug 5, with axially spaced peripheral sealing lips 7 or foil 4 seals the holder adjacent a finger rest 3. The holder is conically flared towards the finger rest 3 and may have axially spaced annular locating and guiding shoulders 8 for the ampoule. The cap has axially spaced integral peripheral sealing lips 11 for sealing with neck 1'. In a modification. Fig. 5 (not shown), the holder is cylindrical throughout its length.</p> |
