<p>Generator providing an output chain of pulses which vary in width as a function of the amplitude of an incoming analogue signal. The generator is based on the use of a delay circuit and a sign or polarity detector. Input signals are transmitted through a clock source controlled gate to one input of a differential amplifier, also acting as a comparator and sign detector, via a CR potentiometer. The comparator output drives a bistable logic element controlled from the same clock source and forms part of a feedback loop to the resistive end of the potentiometer via a further gate.</p> |
