3-Dimensional effects are prepd. on woven or knitted fabrics contg. keratinous fibres by: (a) weaving or knitting a fabric from a mixt. of (i) felt-proofed yarn(s) contg. keratinous fibres and (ii) an untreated yarn contg. keratinous fibres, (i) and (ii) opt. being doubled or twisted together; and (b) subjecting the fabric to a washing or felting process. The process is used for obtaining, on keratinous fabrics, partic. wool, the 3-dimensional effects previously produced on synthetic fabrics by stretching shrinking and heat-setting. A wide variety of effects can be achieved using the same felt-proofed yarn in combination with untreated yarn.
|
