A steerable roller for transport trucks. It consists of a roller (10) and a fork (11) which guides it and which has wing pieces and a top (14). In the top are formed two guides for balls (15) (16). The top of one set of balls (15) run in a guide (18) in a carrying plate (17). The other set of balls roll in a guide (19) in an annular plate (20). The two plates are joined by a hollow part (21) and a rivet (27). The face end (28) of a spring (26) presses against a cross tie (23) which is a screw and nut type. The roller is given limited restraint against swivelling.
