摘要 In a shaped body which is bound by cross-linked plastic and serves as a heat accumulator, a heat exchanger is embedded in crystalline heat storage substance. The maximum operating temperature of the heat exchanger is higher than the melting temperature of the crystalline substance. Expediently, the cross-linked plastic at the same time serves as the crystalline substance; this has the advantage that the solid state of aggregation is retained when the crystallites melt. A heat accumulator of this type can be employed as follows in a solar energy-harnessing installation: The heat accumulator (1) is interconnected with two solar energy absorbers (2, 3), two useful-heat exchangers (4, 5), two circulating pumps (6, 7) and various valves (8-11) to form two separate heat transfer fluid circuits. The heat accumulator (1) comprises two concentric blocks (13, 14) which are separated by an insulating layer (12) and are made of crystalline, cross-linked epoxy resin or polyurethane resin with crystallite melting temperatures of 45 DEG and 60 DEG C respectively. Embedded in the blocks (13, 14) there is one copper coil (16, 17) each, via which the heat exchange takes place between the circulating medium and the plastic blocks acting as latent-heat accumulators. The use of crystalline cross-linked plastic as the storage material permits a particularly expedient and straightforward construction of the heat exchanger. <IMAGE>
