The target pistol has a rotating loader to transfer rounds in front of the firing pin. When the trigger is pulled, a cranked lever rotates a latch and a drum, compressing a spring. A cam moves a peg (86) and pulls back a spring loaded pawl (80, 82) engaging one of several radial slots (81). Simultaneously, the trigger moves the firing hammer rearwards in its slide, pulling the firing pin from the trajectory of the loader. On disengaging the pawl from the slot, the loader drum is driven by the spring to make a sudden rotation to the next slot, this loading another round.
|
