The protection envelope for a motor vehicle is for motor vehicles parked in the open. The envelope protects the vehicle against atmospheric effects and dirt. The protection envelope is flexible and readily detached and fitted on the vehicle. A section covers the roof and windscreen and side panels cover upper side areas. The covering seats are held on the vehicle by magnets. The fastening strips of these seats contain magnets for additional anchoring of the envelope on the vehicle. The edges of the roof section have elements which are clamped by the closed side window upper edges. The draining of water from the roof part is facilitated by a support resting on the vehicle roof and carrying the roof covering sheet.
