The second loudspeaker assembly, for a telephone terminal, is electrically connected to the terminal and allows a second person to listen to the caller. The connecting post (6) between armature (5) and membrane (4) is rigid in its longitudinal direction and flexible transversely with high internal damping. The connecting post is made of a textile sleeve. The post is located at the centre of the membrane with its longitudinal axis at right angles to the plane of the membrane. The advantage lies in reducing the effects of transverse resonance and in thereby achieving a more balanced output spectrum.
