1536660 Corrosion-inhibiting coating compositions ALBRIGHT & WILSON Ltd 18 Dec 1975 [20 Dec 1974] 55090/74 Heading C3R [Also in Division C4] A primer composition comprises a non- aqueous binding medium and as ferrous corrosion inhibitor a pigment comprising a zinc phosphate selected from compounds of the formula Zn 3 (PO 4 ) 2 , ZnHPO 4 and Zn(H 2 PO 4 ) 2 and hydrated forms thereof and at least one magnesium compound selected from magnesium phosphates having the formula Mg 3 (PO 4 ) 2 , MgHPO 4 , Mg(H 2 PO 4 ) 2 and hydrated forms thereof, magnesium oxide and magnesium hydroxide. In the examples a modified alkyd resin containing phthalic anhydride and linseed oil esterified with pentaerythritol is used as the binder. |
