Feeding stuff, for poultry and small cattle, contg. 20-40% digestible proteins is prepd. from activated surplus obtd. in purifying waste waters from wood-processing by (i) removing fibrous undigestible components by screen-filtering, (ii) extracting water opt. after addn. of polyelectrolytes or heat-hydrolysis of concentrated sludge, (iii) drying to 90-97% solids content while preventing destruction of digestible proteins, (iv) sterilising in a fresh steam stream and, if necessary, (v) granulation. |
