<p>A composite sheet or board useful as thermal or acoustic insulation comprises a core, contg. a filler and completely surrounded by a resin-contg. skin. The core consists of a mixt. of mineral fillers, glass or plastics fibres and a thickenable resin, which cross-links with the resin in the skin, forming polymers or copolymers, and is esp. the same resin. The core pref. comprises 10-30% resin; and =35% glass fibre waste and/or textile fibre waste and/or granulated plastics waste; the remainder being lightweight mineral fillers, e.g. pumice powder, expanded clay, lavalite, hollow glass balls, 5% kaolin or chalk can be added as structure improver.</p> |
