<p>The honing tool has a hollow cylindrical body in which two or more plungers slide axially together towards the forward end of the tool (which is gripped at the rear end) under the action of a hydraulically-operated thrust rod. Ramp faces work against thrust pins movable radially in drillings in the body. These expand dish-shaped components carrying cutter strips, and are guided in the body by central pins, being spring-loaded towards the starting position in the body. The central pins (30) are divided into two halves (30a, 30b) telescoping inside and guiding each other. Each half is fixed to one of the dish-shaped components (28), and is guided in a bore in the other or the body (1).</p> |
