PURPOSE:To remove a disadvantage of consuming a large amount of fuel in a reformer and to improve a tendency to lower reforming temperature in outlet than that in the inlet by directly supplying cathode outlet gas exhausted from a cathode of a fuel cell to the reformer as the heat source of the reformer. CONSTITUTION:Reformed fuel is supplied to an anode 3 of a fuel cell I and preheated and compressed air is supplied to a cathode 2 of the fuel cell I. A cathode outlet gas line 36 and a heating chamber 10b in a reformer 10 are connected with a line 37 so that cathode outlet gas exhausted from the cathode 2 is supplied to the heating chamber 10b in a reformer 10 to utilize its sensible heat as a heat source for reforming. Fuel used for heating the reformer 10 is saved, temperature in reforming reaction is raised, and reforming efficiency is enhanced. |
