PURPOSE:To prevent air bubbles fron being incorporated into a cell after charging a liquid crystal thereinto and provide easy sealing of the cell by providing the lower substrate with a notch having a partial concave shape from the side thereof and using a spacer formed of low melting glass whereby the surface of the substrate is utilized as large as possible. |
